Chandrababu Naidu calls cadre for hunger strike and protests locally
Guntur: The TDP president Nara Chandrababu Naidu condemned the attempts of the state government to obstruct his tour to Atmakuru in Durgi mandal of Guntur district and the house arrests of the party leaders in Guntur, Krishna, Prakasam and other districts as undemocratic and termed today as a black day in democracy.
Speaking to the leaders in a teleconference this morning, Naidu said that the government is using force to mute the voices questioning attacks on TDP cadre and resorting to arbitrary arrests to prevent them from participating in peaceful protests. He explained the state and district level leaders in the teleconference that the government has obstructed the supply of food to the people in the camp and ordered the cadre to take up a 12 hour hunger strike from 08.00 AM to 08.00 PM today along with him. He termed the rule of YSRCP as fascist rule and said that the police has failed to protect the public and their assets from the attacks of the YSRCP cadre, but instead applying force to mute voices questioning the oppression. He asked the party leaders to sit in protests locally against the house arrests and attempts to prevent 'Chalo Atmakur' today.
