CM committed to implemeting Navaratnalu: Peddireddy
Chittoor: Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Peddyreddy Ramachandra Reddy said that though the state has been facing deficit budget to the tune of Rs 60,000 cr, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is committed to implement all the welfare and development schemes as per the election manifesto of YSRCP.
The government has already passed 18 bills in the Assembly for the implementation of schemes mentioned in Navaratnalu, he said. The Minister participated as a special guest at a function held here on Friday along with Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy, Chittoor MP N Reddappa and others.
Addressing the meeting, Peddi Reddy reiterated that recruiting of the Village Secretaries and Ward Secretaries by the state government is an all time record and despite shortage of funds for various departments , no work has been hampered.
He said that the government is committed to complete all the major irrigation projects.Dy.Chief Minister K Narayanaswamy said that the interest of all communities irrespective of caste , creed , community and religion will be safeguarded.
``Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is committed for fulfilling all his poll promises. Total prohibition will be implemented in the state in a phased manner with the cooperation of all sections,'' he said. YSR Vahana Mithra , Ammavodi , Village secretariats are the unique initiatives of the Chief Minister, " he added.
MP N Reddappa, Chittoor MLA A Srinivasulu, Puthalapattu MLA M S Babu, CHUDA Chairman Purushottam Reddy, Municipal Commissioner C Obulesh and others were present.
