MPs will exert pressure on Centre to achieve SCS: Reddappa

Chittoor: As per the instructions of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohana Reddy , under the leadership of Vijayasai Reddy and Mithun Reddy , all the 22 YSRCP MPs will exert pressure over the Centre for achieving special category status, says Chittoor MP N Reddappa. There is no question of compromising with the Central government as far as SCS demand is concerned, he said.

Speaking to press persons here on Sunday, Reddappa admitted that great injustice has been done to the state in respect of budget allocations by the Union government. ``We have clearly protested over the poor allocation of funds in the Central Budget. We will continue to express our resentment in the regard.

We are committed to strive for achieving special category status and Jagan Mohan Reddy is a capable leader to get SCS in any way," he reiterated. He came down heavily on previous TDP Government for neglecting the welfare of the SCs,STs,BCs and Minorities.

He lauded that Chief Minister has given significance to these sections by offering Dy.CM posts. Grama Secretariat Scheme will be a role model in the country and Jagan Mohan Reddy is very particular to remove corrupt elements in the administration and governance, he added.

Earlier, he inaugurated Deputy Engineer Irrigation Office here in which Chittoor MLA A Srinivasulu was also present. The MLA stated that YCP has won all the three MP and MLA seats expect Kuppam in the district in the last elections and Chief Minster is keen to develop Chittoor district on par with Kadapa district.

All the ongoing schemes will be continued in the district. HNSS water will be supplied to western parts of the district and priority will be given for developing Chittoor as model city, he further said. Executive Engineer Krishnamurthy , Local YCP leaders and others were present.
