CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurates Command Control Room at Srisailam for ferry services
Kurnool: Boat tourism is likely to resume at Srisailam after lifting of lockdown by the central government. To prevent boat tragedies, the government has set up a command control room.
The command control room was inaugurated at Srisailam on Friday. District Collector, G Veera Pandiyan, SP, Fakkeerappa Kaginelli, temple Executive Officer, KS Rama Ramo and AP Tourism development divisional manager, Eswaraiah have participated at the inaugural ceremony. The command control room was started at Pathala Ganga.
Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has inaugurated the command control room through video conference. The Collector said that officials of four departments - revenue, police, irrigation and tourism would coordinate with each other while discharging responsibilities. These personnel would closely observe the situations of boat travelling in Krishna water.
AP Tourism Srisailam manager B Penchal Reddy said that the ferry services will be carried from Srisailam to Nagarjunasagar and back to Srisailam in the Krishna River. The services will be resumed after lifting of lockdown. Due to prevailing of corona virus ferry services have been stopped, stated Penchal Reddy.
