Collector conducts surprise checks at hotels

Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector Md Imtiaz conducted surprise checks at few hotels in Krishnalanka as a part of the Mana Vijayawada programme (Implementing ban on the plastic carry bags). He visited Satya Sai Tea and Tiffin centre and Srinivasa Tiffin Centre at Nalla Gate centre.

The Collector appreciated both the centres for not using plastic cover and also for providing cloth bags instead of plastic carry bags. He also praised them for using banana leaves instead of plastic papers for serving the tiffin and for parcels.

He appealed to the public and the owners of hotels to take them as an inspiration to avoid plastic for better future and for good of next generation.
