Collector visits rain-hit school in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector Md Imtiaz on Thursday ordered the officials to cover the ground of the Zilla Parishad High School, Ramavarappadu which is creating inconvenience to the students and the teachers for a long time when it rains.

He visited the ZP high school and observed the problems being faced by the children due to rain. Sarva Siksha Abhiyan Project Director KDVM Prasad Babu and Deputy DEO Chandrakala accompanied him.

The Collector said that a total amount of Rs 15 lakh was needed for levelling the ground of the school. He ordered the Panchayat secretary to avoid the flow of sewage water into the school which causes health problems to the school children.

He said that they will take measures to develop the infrastructure in the schools to fulfil the vision of Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
