Create awareness on crimes, SP tells cops

Eluru: West Godavari District Superintendent of Police Navdeep Singh Grewal has directed the police officials to create awareness among people on new type of crimes. At the monthly crime review meeting, the SP asked the officials to educate people about the crimes happening on the pretext of linking Aadhar cards with bank accounts.

The criminals have been using fingerprints of the innocent people and resorting to crimes of looting their account. He also focused on fraud involving employment opportunities in Gulf. Under every police station limits, people should be aware of these crimes, the SP ordered.

The police officials were told to tackle effectively with sale of banned Gutkha and Khaini. Activities of rowdy-sheeters should be contained by conducting counselling regularly. The police should frequently visit villages and settle disputes and issues before they turn into law and order problem.

The police are also asked to execute non-bailable warrants and produce the accused in courts. The SP gave some suggestions to the officials after thoroughly going through different cases. Police officials of the district were present.
