CS Nilam Sawhney visits Suryalanka beach in Guntur

Guntur: Chief Secretary Nilam Sawhney on Sunday visited the Suryalanka beach. On her arrival, she was extended a warm welcome by Guntur District Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar. He explained the significance of the beach to her.

He said lakhs of devotees take holy bath at the sea during Karthika Masam. The district administration has made all arrangements for the convenience of devotees who visit the beach to take a holy dip.

The Collector pointed out that the beach witnesses heavy rush of tourists on Saturday and Sunday. He said the government had proposed to develop the beach into a tourist spot.
