Deputy CM Subhash Chandra Bose assures remunerative prices for farm produce

Penugonda: Any government that neglects agriculture hardly survives, said Deputy Chief Minister P Subhash Chandra Bose. He attended as the chief guest at the Farmer's Day celebrations organised to mark birth anniversary of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy at Agricultural Research Centre in Marteru of Penugonda mandal on Monday.

Bose said that agriculture, education and heath sectors should be given top priority by governments. He promised to provide remunerative price for the farm produce of every farmer in the state.

The Dy CM flayed previous government for burdening people with Rs 37,000 crore loan. Apart from that the government had diverted Rs 4,800 crore welfare funds to schemes like Pasupu-Kumkuma resulting in suffering of common man in the state.

Minister for Housing Ch Sriranganadha Raju said the state government was implementing various welfare schemes for the farming community. Collector R Muthyala Raju and other officials were present.
