Differences come to fore among leaders in East Godavari DRC meet
Kakinada: The East Godavari district riview committee (DRC) meeting conducted at the Collectorate here on Wednesday to bring coordination between newly elected MLAs and district officials brought to the fore the differences between YSRC, TDP, BJP and PDF MLAs and MLCs.
Soon after the meet taken up the agenda items and while discussing the civil supplies issues, TDP senior MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary sought details of village secretariats and supply of essentials at doorstep as assured by the YSRC government.
At this juncture, BJP MLC Somu Veerraju said that Buchaiah Chowdary was diverting the issue. Provoked by the comments of Somu Veerraju, Buchaiah Chowdary said the MLC was making rubbish comments.This ensued heated arguments between the two.
Later when the issue of cancellation of rationcards for four-wheeler owners came, MLC and former minister Chikkala Ramachandra Rao sought the details of cancellation of rationcards on this ground. Heated arguments witnessed between Chikkala and YSRC leaders on this issue.
Arguments and counter arguments also witnessed between the TDP and YSRC elected representatives when the weaker sections housing scheme came for discussion. Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister P Subhash Chandra Bose, District Ministers Kurasala Kannanbabu, Pinepe Viswaroop, Collector D Muralidhar Reddy and several other newly elected MLAs attended the review meeting. Deputy Chief Minister P Subhash Chandra Bose presided over the meeting.
