Devotees throng Arasavalli to witness float festival in Srikakulam

Srikakulam: A large number of devotees thronged Arasavalli on Saturday to witness the float festival of Sun God. On the occasion of Kaarthika Dwadasi, the float festival was organised by the temple officials and priests to the processional dieties of Sun God temple.

The float festival was organised at the Indrapuskarini (holy tank) in front of the temple. Devotees from far and near across the district reached the temple premises by noon to witness the grand event.

Temple executive officer V Hari Surya Prakash made all arrangements around the temple. In total, 200 police officials and staff deputed for security arrangements to control the devotees rush. Revenue divisional officer N V Ramana and other officials also attended the event.
