Dimple selected for Karate National Olympic qualifying competition

Vijayawada: Surapaneni Dimple, studying B.Tech in SRK Institute of Technology was selected for the Karate National Olympic qualifying competition, said College principal Dr M Ekambaram Naidu here on Thursday.

He informed that Karate sport was included in the Olympic Games which would be held in 2020. Dimple was selected for the Karate National Olympic qualifying competitions which would be held at Santiago, Chile organised by World Karate Federation for three days stating from September 20. College chairman BS Appa Rao, Secretary BS Srikrishna and others congratulated Dimple on the occasion.
