Excise Department seizes 815 kg of Marijuana in Vizag

815 kgs of ganja packed in sacks were seized in GK Veedhi mandal when the banned material was about to be transported to Sambalpur in Odisha.

The Excise and Task Force officials acted on a tip-off, arrived at the spot and caught hold of the driver of a lorry through which ganja was being carried.

A lorry, a cell phone and Rs.6,000 in cash were seized and the driver was arrested.

However, CI, Excise Department, Narsipatnam Santosh stated that one more person involved in the trafficking was on the run and would be arrested at the earliest.
