DRI Officials seized Rs 1.92 crore worth ganja, held two

Hyderabad: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Hyderabad on Wednesday seized 962 Kg of ganja worth Rs 1.92 crore. Based on specific intelligence that prohibited narcotic drugs were being illegally transported , the officials intercepted a goods carriage vehicle coming from Bhadrachalam towards Zaheerabad at Duddeda cross roads in Siddipet. On enquiry the transporters replied that they were carrying coconut and guava saplings. The officers noticed that certain brown coloured jute gunny bags concealed beneath the load of plants emanating strong odour. They have arrested two persons and are investigating the case.
