Currency notes thrown out from building during DRI search in Kolkata
Kolkata: The currency notes were thrown out from the sixth floor of a building in Kolkata on Wednesday, while DIR (Directorate of Revenue Intelligence) officials were conducting a search in a private office on that floor.
This incident has happened in Central Business District here in the city. According to the sources, Over the information, the DRI officials have conducted a raid in the office of Hoque Merchantile Pvt Ltd situated at Bentinck Street.
At the same time, some unidentified persons have thrown the currency notes bundles from the sixth floor of the building. The public who noticed the notes shower picked up the currency of denomination of Rs 2000, Rs 500, and Rs 100. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and investigating. The video related to this incident has gone viral on social media.
