France keen on tie-up with Andhra Pradesh

Amaravati: France business community shown keen interest on long-term tie-ups with Andhra Pradesh with focus on infrastructure, automobiles and renewable energy. A delegation of 39 heads of French companies called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at his residence and held discussions on matters of mutual interest.

The MEDEF (Federation of France Entrepreneurs) led by Geoffrey Roux de Bezieux said Andhra Pradesh was the focal point of partnerships and collaborations with MEDEF. The French team, which was on a two-day visit to the state, stressed on long-term and sustainable partnerships with Andhra Pradesh after they were impressed by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's governance, said a statement by Chief Minister's Office on Thursday.

MEDEF shown interest in investing in urban infrastructure, smart cities, urban development, automobile, solar, renewable energy and logistics among others.

The Chief Minister wanted farmers to be benefitted and have sustainable benefits from the sale of agro-products by these investments in the state.

The government is looking for partnership in smart energy systems, smart city administrative systems for delivery of public services to citizens. The Chief Minister talking to the delegation stressed on identifying infrastructure projects to be established through PPP model.
