Free buttermilk distributed to devotees

Vijayawada: Authorities of Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam provided free buttermilk to the devotees atop Indrakeeladri on Friday. Considering the prevailing heat conditions, officials have taken this decision to provide free buttermilk on Fridays and Sundays. During the remaining days, cold water will be supplied.

They would follow this system during entire summer. Individuals can also sponsor for the same in the name of god. They can pay Rs 950 and the officials will distribute 40 litres of buttermilk on behalf of the donor, said temple Executive Officer V Koteswaramma.
