Get ready to fight malaria, Collector tells officials

Vijayawada: District Collector Md Imtiaz directed officials to prepare for battle on mosquitoes to control malaria in the district. A conference was held pertaining with officials of all the departments concerned to mark World Malaria Day on Thursday.

The Collector asked the officials to conduct various awareness programmes across the district. He instructed them to stop leakages of the drinking water pipelines. The Collector also directed the medical officers to collect blood samples of patients and verify for malaria.

He also directed them to check health status in every residence of the district. JC-2 P Babu Rao, DM&HO Dr I Ramesh, District Malaria Officer Dr Adinarayana, ZP CEO Sk Salam and other officials were present.
