Tirumala: The Pilgrims Welfare Facilitation Service (PWFS) launched by TTD since May 3rd, 2019, to oversee the services rendered to devotees especially in the VQC compartments, received good response.

The new units of volunteers were roped in to ensure that all the facilities provided by TTD reach to the target beneficiaries- devotees of all categories— in the queue lines of Vaikuntam queue complex-1 and 2. Their task was to coordinate with Srivari Sevakulu and TTD staff and ensure that all Anna Prasadam, coffee, tea, buttermilk, snacks, and drinking water, milk for children are reached to the waiting devotees.

They also monitored the waiting time of devotees in the compartments, frequency of queue lines release, garbage clearance and cleanliness etc. Nearly 50 member corps worked in two shifts from morning 8 am to 8pm in the compartments.

For service in the PWFS, the TTD preferred devotees, both men and women in 35-65 years age group and especially Gazetted officers or supervisory cadres in the corporate sector. For online registration in the PWFS, the interested persons should click on Srivari Seva link in the TTD website -www.tirumala.org and opt for available slots of 7 days or 15 days service. Later on, the registered devotees should report for service at the Srivari Seva complex behind the Kalyanavedika.

In this regard TTD PRO and Srivari Sevaks HOD T Ravi said to The Hans India that the TTD had introduced the PWFS system to improve the services to devotees at Vaikuntam queue complex. Devotees are feeling very comfort at the time waiting in queue lines for Srivari Darshan.

We will extend PWFS Srivari Sevaks in large scale. Interested Government Gazetted officers or executives in corporate sector can apply to serve devotees through PWFS wing, the PRO added.
