Government schools will be developed on par with corporates: Collector
Vijayawada: District Collector Md Imtiaz on Thursday said the government schools will be developed on par with the corporate schools in the district and expressed satisfaction over the amenities provided for the students in the ZP High School at Gollapudi.
As part of the surprise visit to the government hostels and schools, the Collector visited the ZP High School and interacted with the staff and students. Speaking on the occasion, he said, "It is a good sign that admissions are increasing in the government schools."
He assured the headmaster and the staff that the district administration would render all kinds of assistance for the development of school. He sanctioned two classrooms for the school and asked the Sarva Siksha Abhiyan officials to take steps for construction of the classrooms.
He responded to the request made by the staff to sanction two more classrooms as the existing rooms were not sufficient. Imtiaz explained the Maths and Science subjects to Class X students and expressed satisfaction on the answers given by the students. He told the students that many leaders and intellectuals in the country had studied in the government schools and reached top positions with hard work and self-confidence.
