Government will extend all help to the farmers- MP YS Avinash Reddy
Kadapa: While expressing governments commitment over improving the living standards of the farming community, Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy has assured that government will extend all help to the farmers who incurred huge crop losses due to occurrence of recent untimely rains in the district.
Speaking after inspecting the crops which were destroyed in Vempalle, Chakrayapet, Mydukuru Mandals he said that horticulture and traditional crops in thousands of acres were damaged. He said for the last 3 years farmers who incurred huge crop losses due to severe dry spell conditions now with untimely rains.
"Performing cultivation in Kadapa district turned like gambling as this has become common practice for them some time with untimely rains and most of the time due to severe dry spell conditions," he said. The MP directed the officials to prepare estimations over crop losses as he will bring the issue to the notice of both state central and state governments. Officials from horticulture and agriculture departments were present.
