State goverment committed to welfare of farmers : MP YS Avinash Reddy
Kadapa: MP YS Avinash Reddy visited the house of A Narasimha Reddy at Karnapapaiah village of Lingala mandal and consoled the family members. It may be recalled that Narasimha Reddy recently committed suicide after he had failed to repay the loans. The MP handed over a cheque for Rs 7 lakh to the family members on behalf of the state government, on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Kadapa MP urged the farmers not to commit suicides as government is keen on extending financial support for crop investment to the farming community to avoid approaching private money lenders during the crop season.
The MP recalled that previous government was paying Rs 5 lakhs under instalment basis to the family members of deceased person. But YSR Congress government is paying Rs 7 lakhs at a time to the kin of deceased persons on humanitarian grounds. Agriculture department Joint Director M Muralikrishna, Pulivendula AD Ramana Reddy, and others were present.
