Guntur: Chalo Assembly by AgriGold victims foiled
Guntur: CPI state assistant secretary Muppalla Nageswara Rao warned that the government cannot stop their agitation with their arrests until justice is delivered to victims of AgriGold. He made it clear that they would continue their agitation till the government solve problems of the AgriGold agents and customers.
The police arrested Mupplla Nageswara Rao and foiled Chalo Assembly programme proposed to be conducted on June 17 by the CPI to mount pressure on the government to do justice to the AgriGold agents and customers.
Speaking on this occasion, he questioned though he was protesting for AgriGold customers and agents, the police arrested him to dilute their agitation. He said it was not correct. He recalled that so far 350 AgriGold victims died. He remembered that the government passed a resolution in the State Cabinet to allot funds to pay amount to below Rs 20,000 deposit holders.
He said the government did not allot funds in the state Budget. He recalled that so far the government had released only Rs 1150 crore.
