Guntur: Government to set up nursing colleges soon says Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas

Guntur: Deputy Chief Minister and Health and Family Welfare Minister Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas said that the government will establish nursing colleges under every government medical college soon in the state.

He along with Deputy Speaker in the Legislative Assembly Kona Raghupati, AP Medical Board Chairman J C Dinesh Kumar and Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar visited proposed 25 acres of land for the construction of medical college at Jammulapalem Road near Bapatla town on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the government would develop every district hospital as teaching hospital in the days to come.

He further said that the government was giving priority to set up village clinics and recalled that the government reimbursed fee to the students despite the corona crisis.

Earlier, he inspected Bapatla area hospital and interacted with the patients. He assured that the government would upgrade Bapatla area hospital soon to render better services to patients.

He recalled that the government has taken all steps to fill 9,700 vacancies in the Medical and Health department including doctors and nurses' posts.
