Health will be made right of poor, says Dy CM

Eluru: Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Alla Nani has said that the state government will make health the right of the poor.On his return to Eluru after taking oath as Deputy CM, he received huge applause from leaders, officials and people here on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Nani said that the new government would bring in many reforms in health sector to ensure healthy life to the poor. The previous government had ignored the key medical and health department. He said they would bring medical treatment which costs more than Rs 1,000 under Aroygya Sri introduced by the then Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

The deputy Chief Minister directed irrigation officials to submit detailed reports relating to various irrigation projects. He reviewed Chintalapudi lift irrigation scheme, Tammileru protective wall and other schemes with the officials who met him at his camp office.

Nani directed the Transco officials to avoid power cuts and ensure quality supply. He enquired with the officials on the reasons that led to power failure on Saturday night. If power supply interruptions occur, people would suffer a lot as it is summer, he said. A large number of people arrived in the town since early on Sunday and made queues to personally meet him and congratulate him.
