Addanki: Inspector General of Police (Guntur Range) Vineet Brizlal and District Superintendent of Police Siddharth Kaushal inspected the Addanki police station and interacted with the staff on Friday.

The IG made instructions and shared suggestions to the staff on the investigation of cases and filing the charge sheets. He said that they should prepare an action plan before starting the investigation of any case. He instructed that the investigation officers should file the charge sheets within two months in non-grave cases and within three months in grave cases as per the CrPC 167.

The IGP said that if any main or direct eye witness turns hostile, then they should analyse the documentary and medical evidence along with the CDRs for convicting the accused. He suggested that the investigation officers must secure the available fingerprints from the scene of offence and let them compare with the fingerprints analysis machine to identify the accused.

He also advised the officials to collect and go through the judgement copies whether the accused is convicted or acquitted and use the knowledge to be careful in the next investigations and collection of evidence.
