ISRO planning space shuttle: Dr K Sivan

Nellore: ISRO Chairman Dr K Sivan said there will be space shuttle in space in the near future similar to the one being run by the NASA and they had conducted the RLV-TD experiment two years ago. He also said Aditya-1 mission has now been revised to Aditya-L1 mission and will be inserted in a halo orbit around the L1, which is 1.5 million km from the Earth.

At an interaction session on Friday with 108 young scientists across the country during Yuvika 2019 as part of Jai Vigyan-Jai Anusandhan programme, he said still there is no clarity on possibilities for existence in space and budding scientists have to explore such issues in the future after becoming scientists.

ISRO Chief said quality and transparency are the key issues of success of the ISRO and appealed to the young scientists to be inquisitive-minded for learning things and asked them to prefer experiment-based learning if they want to become scientists. He also said they were searching for many ways to clear space debris permanently. He said 'Gaganyaan' continues to traverse for one week close to earth in a distance of 450 km.
