Kadapa: 5-member gang held for circulating fake currency, ganja

Kadapa: Police have raided a lodge and arrested a five member gang including two foreigners allegedly responsible for supplying fake currency and ganja.

Police raided Sidha Priya lodge in One Town and recovered Rs 7.28 lakh fake currency notes, ganja weighing 4kg, 3 laptops, one colour printer, 7 mobile phones Rs 9,600 cash from them on Saturday.

The accused are identified as C Sai Krishna of Bhagyanagar Colony in Kadapa, P Dasu Babu of Similiguda village Hukumpet mandal, K Jagannath of Peddapadu village of Dumbriguda mandal in Visakhapatnam district, MBI Adolf Ashu, Ako Borson Know of Cameroon country (the duo presently residing at Kasturinagar in Bengaluru).

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Superintendent of Police KVVN Anburajan said he had received a complaint through WhatsApp from one Abdul Karim of Kerala during Spandana programme that he was cheated by Adalf Ashu, Ako Borson and Sai Krishna as they collected money through internet for supplying costly wigs, and medical products at cheaper rates. But the materials were not supplied to him. The complainant also said that the accused are staying in Kadapa.

SP said that following tip off, Chinnamandem Chowk SI Ashok Reddy conducted raids on the Sidha Priya lodge arrested the accused. The SP appreciated the cops of their initiative in arresting the culprits. Kadapa city DSP U Suryanarayana, CCS SI L Jeevan Reddy, Pendlimarri Sub-Inspector RV Konda Reddy and others were present.
