Make use of govt schemes: SP KVVN Anburajan tells Home Guards

Kadapa: Superintendent of Police KVVN Anburajan asked the Home Guards to make use several welfare schemes introduced by state and central governments.

Participating as chief guest at a programme organised to mark Home Guards Raising Day at Police Parade grounds here on Friday, he said that state and central governments have introduced Group Personal Accident Insurance Policy and Prime Minister Jeevana Jyothi Yojana for the welfare of Home Guards.

He said dormitory for women Home Guards is under construction in the city and will be inaugurated soon. The SP said the role of Home Guards is crucial in police department since it had formed during the China War in 1949. On this occasion, he received guard-of-honour from the Home Guards.

Earlier SP has flagged off rally at NTR Circle which passed through 7 roads, Old RIMS, Christian Lane, and concluded at Police Parade grounds. ASP AR Rishi Kesava Reddy, DSP Ramanaiah and others were present.
