Karunakar Babu appointed APCC spokesperson

Kurnool: Ananta Karunakar Babu was appointed as spokesperson of Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee. APCC state president Dr Sake Sailajanath in a press release on Sunday, stated that Ananta Karunakar Babu will extend his services to strengthen the party.

Sailajanath further stated that the opportunity was given with the blessings of party chief Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Oommen Chandy, the general secretary, AICC and in-charge of AP state.

Karunakar Babu, resident of Kurnool has rendered his services for a long time in Praja Natya mandali. He has maintained good rapport with the former Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh, Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy. In 2014 Assembly elections, Karunakar Babu contested as MLA to Kodumur constituency from Jana Sena Party and won majority of votes.

On the occasion of appointing as spokesperson to APCC, Kanurakar Babu said that he was more elated to be appointed to the post. He said that he will strive to strengthen the party and restore the past glory of party.

He profusely thanked Dr Sake Sailajanath for giving him the opportunity to serve the party. Karunakar Babu said that he was given the appointment letter during a meeting convened at Vijayawada.
