Kia Motors: There is every possibility to believe Reuters report, says Pawan Kalyan

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has reacted to the controversy over the shifting of KIA Motors from Andhra Pradesh. He asserted that the government is neglecting its responsibility to create favourable conditions for the establishment of new industries in the state.

"How can we improve employment prospects if existing companies are going away and the latest news about the Kia industry moving to neighbouring state from Anantapur district is astonishing," Pawan said.

Pawan Kalyan claimed that the Reuters, which reported on KIA motors is not an ordinary company, but a leading news agency in the world. He said there is every possibility to believe the report. The actor turned politician alleged the government of failed policies that are making the companies disinvest in the state.

He recollected the Asian Paper and Pulp industry, which has signed an agreement to set up a paper industry in Prakasam district with an investment of Rs 24,000 crore, which left for Maharashtra. "Is this how Andhra Pradesh will grow industrial if the companies are shifting its base," Pawan questioned.

Kia Motors, a company in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, is preparing to leave Tamil Nadu, according to a Reuters newspaper. There is an uproar from the opposition. However, the government has denied this claim. Kia Motors and the government have jointly stated that there are no such ambitions.
