Land disputes will be resolved with resurvey: Prakasam Collector Pola Bhaskara

Ongole: The disputes over the extent of land and borders pending for decades in the villages will be resolved with the resurvey, announced the Prakasam district collector Dr Pola Bhaskara.

He participated in the Grama Sabha at Kondikandukur village, where the land resurvey will be conducted as a pilot project in the district and created awareness on the project to the villagers on Thursday.

The collector announced that the resurvey will start at Kondikandukur from December 21. He said that the survey will be done using drones and rovers with the latest technology and identify the borders exactly.

He said that they have made arrangements to conduct the resurvey in 350 villages, i.e., one-third of the 1,058 revenue villages in the district. He explained to the villagers about the benefits of the resurvey and assured them that all measures were taken to keep the resurvey at Kondikandukur as a model. He said that after the resurvey is done, the Survey of India would conduct the survey in one village from each of the 56 mandals to verify perfection.

He announced that they would also settle the issues related to the endowments lands also and advised the officials to bring to the notice of the superiors about any issues in the files, in writing so that they will be rectified. Joint collector J Venkata Murali, Kandukur sub-collector Bhargava Teja, tahsildars, surveyors, and villagers also participated in the programme.
