Local body elections in February, minister Botsa asserts at a video conference on Thursday
With the deadlock prevails over the conduction of local body elections in Andhra Pradesh, the Minister of Municipal and Urban Development Botsa Satyanarayana had given some sort of clarity on it. He said the state government is making all arrangements to hold the municipal elections in February. At a video conference held with city officials Botsa made these comments and suggested that the officials should act responsibly in line of government. He also directed Officials and staff to work hard to deliver good results to the public.
Minister Botsa urged the officials to complete the construction of houses in towns and cities. He also suggested them to focus on filling the vacancies of secretariat posts. He ordered officials to send Volunteers to the beneficiaries houses in next month to distribute the ration cards and pensions. Minister Botsa instructed officials to immediately pay the salaries to secretaries and volunteers.
Municipal director Vijaya Lakshmi said that the voters list would be made available for public on the 3rd of next month. She asserted that the Electoral Returning Officer would look after the errors in the voter list. The Commissioners, Mepma PDs and other officials have participated in the video conference.
