Man killed self by jumping from cell phone tower suspecting fidelity of wife

Markapur: Suspecting that his wife has a relationship with another man, a husband committed suicide by jumping from a cell phone tower in Peddaraveedu on Friday noon.

According to the complaint received from the mother of the diseased, the police SI Ch Prabhakar Rao said that Gundareddy Sivareddy and Sirisha are married for nine years and have a daughter and a son. Sivareddy found that his wife having a relation with Kottam Balasubbareddy of the same village. He is said to be caught them two times red-handedly, but they didn't heed to his words. Two days ago, the couple quarreled about the matter and Sivarreddy went onto the house of Balasubbareddy for a fight, but the latter's family members tied him to a tree and beat him black and blue on the night.

Narayanamma, mother of Sivareddy said that her son said to her that he can't live with the insult as the villagers are making him a laughing stock, but she tried to pacify him. But on Friday morning, Sivareddy consumed liquor and scaled the cell phone tower. He announced that he is killing himself, unable to digest his wife's cheating on him and jumped from the tower.

The police registered a case on the complaint by Gundareddy Narayanamma and shifted the body to Markapur for postmortem. The SI said that the case is under investigation and will make arrests following the developments.
