Micro observers' role crucial in vote counting

Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector Md Imtiaz said the role of micro observers will be crucial in vote counting. The collector participated in micro observers training programme at Tummalapalli Kala Ksetram on Tuesday and said that the micro observers should look after whether the counting is in a proper way or not.

As counting commences at 8 am on May 23, the micro observers should closely monitor every movement in the counting centres, the order of the counting will be the service voters-Postal ballots- EVM-VVPAT. He asked the micro observers to reach their concerned centres by 4:30 am.

No micro-observer would be allowed to carry a mobile phone, he added. He further stated that Section 144 would be imposed at the counting centres. Machilipatnam parliamentary constituency observer Vinod J, Vijayawada parliamentary constituency observer Jawahar and others were present.
