Amaravati: Minister for Civil SuppliesKodali Nani on Saturday said it was high time that TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu quit politics and handed over the responsibility of the party to NTR's family members.

Addressing a press conference at the YSRCP headquarters at Tadepalli in Guntur district, the Minister blamed Naidu for resorting to mud-slinging against the State government. Naidu, he said, had been trying to mislead the people by criticising the government for introducing English as medium of instruction. He was envious of growing popularity of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Nani said TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh cannot manage party. The TDP leaders too were blaming Lokesh for the sorry state of affairs. He warned that the YSRCP would not remain silent unless TDP leaders stopped making derogatory comments against the Chief Minister.

Reacting to the protest staged by Naidu on alleged sand scarcity, he said it was a political drama. He dared the TDP leaders to stage a protest in Delhi in support of the demand for more funds for the State. The TDP leaders were trying to mislead the people by resorting to hateful campaign against the government.

The Minister said the Chief Minister has been restraining the party activists from teaching a befitting lesson to the TDP leaders. He said if the Chief Minister allowed the party leaders and activists, they would give a befitting reply to the TDP leaders.
