Amaravati: In a big set back to TDP, Kurnool district prominent leader and MLC KE Prabhakar has decided to quit the party and sent his resignation letter to TDP office.

It's reported that KE Prabhakar has taken this decision over the allocation of TDP tickets in the coming local body elections. He expressed his anguish over the issuing of B-forms to his followers.

Over this, he conducted a meeting with his activists and supporters and discussed future action plan on Friday. In the meeting, KE has decided to resign TDP and said he would later announce which party he is going to join.

He said leaving TDP is a painful decision but has no other way. KE Prabhakar further said that Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy is implementing Congress work style in TDP. On this occasion, KE made clear that he has not got any offer from YSRCP and if he gets a call from CM, then he will join the party.

KE Prabhakar is the brother of former Deputy CM KE Krishnamurthy and contested as TDP MLA candidate in 2019 general elections from Dhone Assembly constituency in Kurnool district. With the resignation of Silpa Chakrapani Reddy to TDP and MLC post, KE Prabhakar has been given MLC from Kurnool district.
