Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao launches YSR Kanti Velugu in Guntur district
Guntur: Minister for Agriculture Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao inaugurated the third phase of the YSR Kanti Velugu programme at the government hospital at Kanagala village under Cherakapalli mandal in Guntur district on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the aim of the third phase of YSR Kanti Velugu programme was to conduct eye tests to the aged people and extend necessary medical services, in case of the needy. He urged the elders to avail of the facility provided by the State government and benefit by it.
Furthermore, the Minister said that this programme will continue till July end this year. He further said that the State government led by YS Jagqan Mohan Reddy was committed to the welfare of poor and the downtrodden.
He recalled that the State government had already started distributing YSR Health Cards and developing the government hospitals to render better medical services. He said that the State government had already set up price stabilisation fund to get a better price to the farmers.
