MP Durga Prasad inspects ESI Hospital in Tirupati

Tirupati: MP B Durga Prasad Rao inspected ESI hospital in the city on Friday and enquired about the services being provided to the patients at the newly inaugurated building.

He asked the hospital authorities to give him a detailed report on the existing problems and required infrastructure and other issues. Maintaining that state government has been working for the welfare of workers, he said that he will take up the problems to the notice of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and to the Central government.

The problems at the ESI hospital were taken to the notice of the MP by the Staff working there. They said that the state government has not yet issued the GO upgrading the hospital to 100 beds.

They also explained that the supply of drugs and lab kits was not good to the hospital. The MP has assured to provide RO plant at the hospital and discussed with the Principal Secretary of Labour and Employment department and Director of ESI corporation over the phone on the problems. Hospital in charge Medical Superintendent Dr Ramana Kishore, RMO Dr K Rajendra, Assistant RMO Dr Siva Maheswara and other officials were present.
