New library building to come up

Rajamahendravaram: A new building with advanced facilities is coming up on the premises of the 150-year-old Gowthami Regional Library to cater to the needs of the increasing number of readers. Nowadays, more and more people are becoming book worms in the town. After inspecting the progress of works of the new building, Municipal Corporation of Rajahmahendravaram Superintending Engineer Om Prakash has said that the construction works would be completed in one month's time.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Friday, The building was coming up with G+1 category with the latest facilities in corporate style. A reading room, reference room and other rooms are coming up in the new building. An amount of Rs 2.75 crore was spent on the new building till now he added.

Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sumit Kumar was very much particular to complete the building as per the schedule and the Corporation was not compromising in quality construction, he added. Corporation executive engineer Satya Kumari, deputy executive engineer Prasad and others were present.
