Ongole: Training session on youth leadership concludes

Ongole: The Nehru Yuva Kendra Prakasam district youth coordinator Kamal SA announced on Thursday that the three-day training programme on the Youth Leadership and Community Development was held from March 10 to 12 at the UTF Meeting hall in Ongole.

He said that 40 youth from various villages in the district has participated in the training program. He said that the youth were trained by the ToTs and resource persons on a number of topics like Youth- national resource management, how to interact with rural people, youth leadership, youth culture, youth development, the role of youth in the community development, participant nation-building, the role of police, group discussions, discussion on the use of IT and social media, how to form youth clubs, personality development, life skills, human rights, consumer rights, RTI act, self employment etc.

On Thursday, the candidates were given kits including bags, certificates, travel allowances, NYK brochures through the hands of welfare development secretary Sk Khaja Rahamatulla, NYK district youth coordinators, voluntary worker Ramanamma and others. The NYK staff and volunteers also participated in the program.
