Paddy transplantation delayed in many mandals

Amalapuram: Paddy transplantation was not completed in 25,000 acres due to inundation of paddy fields in Konaseema area because of floods. The paddy transplantation was not taken up in the mandals of Sakhinetipalli, Uppalaguptam, Mamidikuduru, Razole, Malikipuram etc.

Because of the inundation, the paddy fields have become tanks and lotus (kaluva) flowers are blossoming in the fields. The farming community is expressing concern over its fate in Khariff season.
