PLP of NABARD for district shows increase of 3,709 cr: Collector Dr Pola Bhaskara

Ongole: The Potential Linked Plan prepared by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development has finalized the ground level credit potential of Rs 17672.95 crore for the priority sectors in the Prakasam district for the financial year 2020-21.

The district Collector Dr Pola Bhaskara released the PLP Booklet in his camp office on Thursday, in the presence of the NABARD district development manager V Venkata Ramana and lead district manager N Srinivasa Babu.

The DDM explained that the NABARD prepares the PLP for each district and the plan contains the credit potential available in various sectors in the district. He said that the potential mentioned in the PLP will be taken as the base for the preparation of district credit plan by the lead district manager.

The projections for the PLP 2020-21 are to the tune of Rs 17672.95 crore while the projections for the earlier year were Rs 13963.60. The district has managed to get Rs 3709.35 crore increase in the PLP for the 2020-21 than 2019-20.

The Syndicate Bank RM T Ramakrishna, APGB RM G Mastanaiah, SBI CM Harihara Prasad, PDCCB CEO Sivakoteswara Rao, RUDSETI director GS Murthy, Agriculture department DD Srinivasa Rao, Animal Husbandry DD Dr Kalesha, district coordinators for the Syndicate Bank, SBI and Andhra Bank Pavitran, Janaki Ramaiah and Nagasai are also present in the program.
