Police plant 1,500 saplings in Kakinada industrial area

Kakinada: East Godavari SP Adanan Nayeem Asmi, as per the special focus given by Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, participated in Harithandra Pradesh and Swachh Bharat programmes in Kakinada rural on Sunday.

As part of Harithandra Pradesh, Nayeem Asmi and his team of police officers planted 1,500 saplings in Kakinada rural industrial area. On the occasion, the SP said that for protecting environment, growing of plants was very important.

To achieve this every worker in the industrial belt should plant one sapling each, Asmi said. Prior to this, the SP participated in cleaning of Kakinada beach under Swachh Bharat along with his staff.
