Police Welfare Day observed in Ongole

Family members of martyred police personnel who attended face-to-face session in Eluru on Thursday.

Ongole: The Prakasam district police department observed the Police Welfare Day with the family members of the 19 police personnel who were martyred on duty, at the Galaxy Conference Hall in District Police Office on Thursday.

Following instructions from the district SP, Siddharth Kaushal, the additional SP Admin K Mahendrapatrudu conducted a face-to-face interview programme with the family members of the martyrs and discussed the issues being faced by them.

He discussed about the welfare schemes like ex gratia, pension, Bhadratha scheme, APGLI, leave encashment, widow fund, GPF, corpus fund, accidental insurance, and reasons for any delay in receiving them.

He ordered the concerned officials to clear all pending files related to the martyrs' families within a week and discuss with the head of the departments to resolve any issues in the files.

The administrative officer of the DPO, Sulochana, CCS DSP Prasad Kumar, office superintendent Shaikh Sandani Basha, store superintendant Vanajakshi and other staff also participated in the programme.
