The trial of Dr Ramesh Babu, the accused in the Vijayawada Swarna Palace Covid Center fire accident case, is going on for the second day. Police have intensified their investigation into the deaths of ten people in a fire accident. ADCP Lakshmipathy has questioned the accused for the second day on Tuesday after the High Court allowed Dr Ramesh to appear. Ramesh, who reached Suryaraopet police station, will be questioned by the ADCP till 5 pm today in the presence of a lawyer.

Authorities are trying to get details on key points in today's hearing. It seems that questions are being asked to get the facts on the allegation of the relatives of the deceased that high fees were charged in Ramesh's hospital. An investigation is underway into allegations that the Covid care centre has operated without complying with the regulations.

The High Court which has halted the probe on Ramesh hospital has given nod for the trial of Ramesh hospital manager Dr. P Ramesh after the government has moved to Supreme Court. The court has granted permission to government to quiz the accused in presence of Ramesh's lawyers.

The fire accident which occurred at the Swarna Palace hotel leased by Dr Ramesh to run covid centre in the month of August has led to the death of ten coronavirus patients and injuries to several others. It remains to be seen, whether the police gets the truth behind the fire accident.
