Rajamahendravaram: Banks to work till 2 pm only
Rajamahendravaram: In the wake of lockdown, many banks have reduced their working hours. In this connection, the Andhra Bank management has issued orders restricting the working hours from 10 AM to 2 PM, which will be in force up to March 31. Andhra Bank Zonal Manager Mohan Rao appealed to the customers to come to the banks relating to check clearance, cash deposit and drawing of amounts during the working hours.
Andhra Bank branches at Aryapuram, Veerabhadrapuram, Alcot Gardens, Fort Gate, Danavaipeta, Innispeta and Lalachervu would work up to 2 pm every day because of the directions by the State government. Meanwhile, Aryapuram Cooperative Urban Bank is also working up to 1 pm only and all the banks in the city wore a deserted look due to lack of customers. This is the first time that the banks are facing this type of disruption due to the Coronavirus disease which has become a pandemic.
