Visakhapatnam: The Left parties paid rich tributes to the Jallianwala Bagh victims at Gandhi statue near GVMC administration building on Saturday. Addressing the gathering, CPM State secretary Ch Narasinga Rao termed the Jallianwala Bagh massacre as one of the top 10 nightmares in the world. The incident reflected the British rulers anti-Indian policies.

CPI State assistant secretary J V Satyanarayana Murthy lamented that with the British colonel Reginald Dyer's directions, large number of police fired on the helpless and innocents in the park. He termed the persons who lost their lives in the incident as real democratic heroes in India.

CPM city secretary Dr B Gangarao, M Pydiraju, D Markendeyulu, J D Naidu, Vamana Murthy, M Jaggunaidu, B Jagan and P Mani also spoke.
