Rich tributes paid to YSR, statue unveiled in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: On the occasion of Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy's 10th death anniversary, YSRCP Vijayawada Parliamentary constituency in-charge Potluri Vara Prasad (PVP) unveiled the statue of YSR in Krishnalanka here on Monday. He paid floral tributes to YSR on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that YSR was a great leader, an ideal and a role model for many upcoming politicians for the various welfare schemes he had introduced for the uplift of downtrodden, poor and the needy. He recalled that YSR had given house pattas to the poor in Ranigarithota.

He said the great leader had introduced Rajiv Asogya Sri, fee reimbursement and many more schemes for the people of AP. He said that his absence was fulfilled by the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

MLA Malladi Vishnu said that YSR was a great leader and many poor and needy were benefitted through the welfare schemes introduced by him. Earlier, they visited various places in the city and paid floral tributes to YSR. They distributed fruits to senior citizens and physically challenged people.

YSRCP leaders B Bhava Kumar, Arun Kumar, P Ravi, K Naveen, P Baburao, G Chiranjeevi, Damodar, T Ramireddy and others were present.
