SFI forces closure of educational institutions on Sunday
Eluru: The activists and leaders of Students Federation of India (SFI) enforced closure of educational institutions working on Sunday in violation of rules in Eluru. They visited several educational institutions where classes were conducted on Sunday and asked the managements to close the institutions.
SFI district assistant secretary A Sharat, city leaders Pradeep, Rajeev, Mukesh, Satish, Azhar and others took part in enforcing the closure of institutions working against rules. Sarat alleged that the students need holiday for doing activities other than academics in their leisure.
However, the managements with the ambition of getting ranks had been forcing the students to attend to the special classes on Sunday and other holidays. As a result, many students have been mentally depressed. The faculty have no say and acting as per the directions of the managements by imposing forceful education ignoring the students' mental development. Cultural and extra-curricular activities were ignored at these institutions, he alleged.
He wondered why the education authorities have been in deep slumber when they are supposed to stop this illegal activity of the educational institutions. He asked the government to act immediately and punish the managements torturing the students on the pretext of special classes on holidays.
